canada agency revenue

Why would Canada Revenue Agency be calling my workplace?
They spoke to the controller at the company I work for. The conversation was about 30 seconds. I think it was about me. So why do they call yur workplace… is it to find out if you are working (employed), or their was something missing on the T4 slip.. tax season is here…
Could be the two reasons you mention, could be they weren’t talking about you, could be lots of other reasons.
