Where is beer and alcohol cheaper, Seattle, WA or Vancouver, BC?
A big group of my friends are flying into Seattle, WA and then driving to Whistler, BC for a week long ski trip. Is beer and/or alcohol cheaper on one side of the border or the other? Should we stock up on beer and/or liquor before we cross the border into Canada?
MUCH cheaper in the US. The only problem with stocking up is you are only allowed to bring a limited amount across the border – I’m not sure if it’s 12 or 24 cans. You’d probably do better to bring a bottle of alcohol and do mixed drinks – it would last longer. You’ll be amazed at the liquor prices in Canada!
Have fun at Whistler!
