Italy Tourist Visa processing time?

I am in USA on F1 visa and i am travelling to london on 25th may. I need to get a Schenghen visa from italy. I am going tomm (8th may) to Philadelphia Consulate of Italy. I got my London Visitor visa 2 weeks back.

Am I too late to apply for the Visa???
Is there anything I can do tommorow at the cosulate,…. request for additional service for fast processing etc?? ANything I can do to make sure my application is accepted and processed within the time i have??

Any help would be greatly appreciated…..

It depends on your citizenship whether you may get your visa in time. For citizens of certain high risk countries prior coordination must be made with all other Schengen countries (24) prior to the visa issue which may take up to 4 weeks. A rush processing for Schengen visa is not possible. Please assure that you have all documents required so that your application may be processed.
