visa vs mastercard vs discover

Visa Money Card VS Visa Gift Card?
Ok I am trying to purchase a $50 Fashion Bug card for my Mom online because there is none nearby. When I got to check out I see:
Attention: We cannot process gift cards issued by American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. If you try to place an order using one of these gift cards, it will fail.
It continued to say that my card would be charged for the $50 even if the transaction fails. SO Is there a difference between my Visa Money Card and a Visa Gift Card? And should I attempt to follow through with this transaction?
i would use you visa money card just because if they do not give you the gift card from there you can dispute the $50 and get it back easier then using the gift card for it
